Hello, Susie - I checked out your Etsy shop and am very flattered such an accomplished ceramics artist finds favor with my little gold guys! By all means, send the kids in to fetch it...I can even hold this one for you if you like but I'm making others and hope to have them available at least through the holidays. Also, we JUST joined Etsy and will have our own shop set up there soon, as soon as I have time to take a breath and figure it all out. Thanks for your comment and for "Like"ing our FB page. :)

Lynne showed me a version of this little gold man at the Natural Art Garden Center here in Tom's Brook.... Very cool! My son and new bride are on their way RIGHT NOW, moving to Seattle so I sent them a link to your site. They aren't really gardeners but they could shop for me there, right? LOL! Love the blog.

Yep, years like this you just have to call "educational" and move on. The 'Lilac' bell pepper was startlingly good as was old reliable 'Sweet Banana', and a semi-hot variety called 'Mariachi' is completely covered in fruit - we'll try it this weekend for the first time.

It has been tough for warm weather crops. It has been a great year to notice the diferences in eggplant, tomato, chile varieties under cooler conditions.I have also noticed underwatering helping to increase ripening speed in tomatoes and chillies.

Thanks for honoring us with the first blog comment, Lorene! - and the nice feedback. I had more fun with this update and, maybe only meaningful to me, met my OWN deadline for getting it done (with literally minutes to spare). Let's see if it works! *hugs*
